The Sudden Strong Chocolate Craving

Earlier this week, there I was, minding my own business when all of a sudden I had this very strong need for chocolate. It was all I could think about. I could barely form a sentence because everything in my head went "Hey [Iwantchocolate]! How [Iwantchocolate] are [omgchocolat] you [feedmechocolate!]?"  I didn't say all those things out loud. At least, I don't think I did.

That urge for chocolate was so strong and obvious, I was afraid I would succumb to a giant chocolate bar (I did, but not for a few days and only because my neighbor brought me a chocolate bar because she loves me. It was King Size with almonds. I was all "Oh, hey, I love it when they're king size with nuts." And then we laughed at my innuendo.)

Anyway. The day I was feeling the need for chocolate like Gollum feels the need to have the Ring, I remembered a pin on Pinterest. I'd been meaning to try it for forever. And since I am trying to lose weight again, I was all "today is the perfect day for this!"

Original Pin -

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Yogurt Dip
  • 1c Greek yogurt
  • 2-4T unsweetened cocoa powder [depending on how rich you want it]
  • 1T maple syrup
  • 1/4t vanilla extract
  • 3T dark chocolate chips
  1. Mix ingredients together until there are no lumps from the cocoa powder and add more maple syrup if desired.
  2. Chill [covered] in the fridge.
  3. Top with chocolate chips.

Okay. I made it. Sorry, no pics this time. I think I added too much cocoa powder for my taste. And instead of using maple syrup, I used agave syrup.

My intention was to eat it by the spoonful. Then I remembered I had strawberries. Okay, let me just say this: omnomnomnomnom! It was just like eating chocolate covered strawberries. But better! It was super fast to make too. I wasn't in the mood to wait for it to chill though....

There you have it. Yummy Pins, I love you!

Poor, neglected blog!

Dear Pins Happen,

When I first created you, I was so excited. I thought all my little Pinterest adventures would be added here. Pictures, step by step accounts, poking fun at myself. But then, I got a job. And my pinning days slowed to a crawl.

Bummer.

Then it occurred to me. I have done plenty of projects I could still write about.

So.....I'm back. For now.
